Yes, overseas visitors can get married in Sydney.
You do not need to be an Australian citizen or resident.
What you still need
- a valid NOIM
- enough time for the one-month notice rule
- the right ID documents
- translations for non-English documents
- two adult witnesses
Can we start from overseas?
Usually, yes.
You can often prepare the NOIM and organise documents before you arrive.
If you are unsure about witnessing the NOIM from overseas, ask us early.
